How do I join Naptown Roller Derby (NRD) as a skater?

NRD holds regular information sessions and workshops teaching the basics of skating and roller derby. Those who attend our workshops will be evaluated for membership in our league. Learn more here!

If you need to purchase gear, we recommend shopping with our friends at Derby Warehouse.

Do you accept transfer skaters from other leagues?

We evaluate requests for transfer from skaters in good standing with another league. We also consider applications from skaters with significant roller derby experience who qualify to bypass our introductory workshops. Please contact join@naptownrollerby.com for information.

Do you have volunteer opportunities for those who don’t want to skate?

Yes! NRD is a community of skaters, coaches, referees, non-skating officials (NSOs) and other volunteers. We always need help to staff our practices and events — and we love and value our volunteers, who are invited to participate in special events, such as our end-of-season celebration. For information on how to volunteer, contact info@naptownrollerderby.com.
